受到很大震惊的一个晚上

今天和一起在大学留学的马来西亚朋友吃寿司做晚饭。当我正吃的津津有味时突然听的一件消息让我失去了胃口。。

一位先辈，刚和他交往10年的女朋友分手了。原因没说的很清楚，但是后来他发现好像是她移情别恋了。订婚礼物全都买好了的先辈，受到太大的打击了吧瘦了一大圈。希望这件事会很快让他解决吧。她等了那么多年，一定也不好受

我身边的朋友，有好多位身上的远距离恋爱都没问题。但相反的，失败了的我也看过不少。这不禁让我想回发生在我身上的故事

距离，肯定是一个问题。我坦白的说，是不敢去冒这个险的人咯。分手的痛，非常不好受。留学，的确是个很好的经验，开心的也多，伤心辛苦的也多。今天，就是看到了伤心的那一面

Lijiang , Shang-rila

Lijiang, Yunnan in China, is the most beautiful place for me in my 1 and a half month backpacking in China. And here I would like to share some of the pictures taken there(all pictures were taken with my iPhone4 , with some help of an Olloclip). I spent my final 2 weeks in Yunnan, visited Kunming, Lijiang and Shangrila. I had it all in Lijiang and Shangrila, my first ever Tibetan food, visiting a Tibetan house, horse riding, hiking and overnight in the mountains , biggest smile ever from the minorities , and much more. 

Years of laziness to blog makes it difficult for me to write anything, at all. I doubt if my Japanese is better than English now? I don't know. But one thing for sure is, 1.5 month in China had definitely improved my Chinese.

Damien from China, and Nave from Israel

When I was in Panba guesthouse(highly recommend), I met these 2 guys and invited them to hike with me to Tiger Leaping Gorge. They agreed at the very first second I invited. Damien is a graduate student in Beijing University, while Nave is a student who has 4 years military experience in Israel.The stories that we share with each other throughout the hike has widen my knowledge so much, and once again being grateful to God for whatever that I have(after the stories of Nave at war in Israel).

In our hike, the one and only route was ruined because of a landslide in July. 

Therefore this is how we continued our road, the only way was to get through 

this scary road.

The only black dot in my travel was this, as China and Japan 

were in the island dispute, I had a complication in feelings

cause one is my root country, while the other is a country that

take very good care of me in the past 5 years.

Demonstrations were in a few cities that I stayed.

Hope this problem will be gone ASAP

These are just a tiny part of my trip. 42 days of travel can't be blogged in a post, I'll just leave it here. Or shall I use my time to do more research on my next trip?

Had really cheap coffee(Americano)
Used the 'best' toilets
No toilet paper experience 囧
Seated in the train for 18 hours
Taken Chinese bullet train
Push and not queueing when I wanna take public transport
Spitted once on the road like a Chinese
Learnt about Chinese history
Walking under 40C degree in Shaoxing and hangzhou
Couchsurfed 5 cities with 7 amazing hosts
Slept on 2 couch, 2 floors, 1 hotel, 3 youth hostels
Reusing dirty clothes
Visited no less than10 museums
My backpack started with 8.9kg in shanghai is now 13 kg
Spent 4200yuan and still counting
Had really really cheap beers
Spoken mandarin,Cantonese,Japanese,English , Hokkien
Holiday romance
Rented a bike and ride around an island
Cursed the people who did not queue at the counter
Had kfc once , McDonald's 3 times
Cheated people that I'm a Chinese to save the trouble of explaining why Malaysian Chinese can speak good mandarin.
Getting really close to Tibet but can't go in because of visa problem
Read 2 books
Discussing with people about politics , and telling them about Malaysia and Japan
Missing home

And the list goes on ..
10 days left in this country. Shangrila is waiting for me!!

Tough week

This week , I will travel 500km west to Kyoto, then back home before I move 500 km to the east to Tokyo. Tough week, but I am pretty sure that I will enjoy the traveling and events.

Actually I just came back from Narita airport yesterday,it was really weird feeling when you go to the airport, but not to take a flight home :(

Itook part in a program organized by Embassy of Malaysia and AKEPT, under the Ministry of High Education Malaysia with fellow Malaysian students in Japan. It is called Global Leadership Outreach Program. I think I learned a lot,especially on stuffs that is going on in the country. GTP,ETP,LEP,NKEA... loved the 2 days I spent there.

Met very inspiring people from the government. Learnt a lot. Great food, meeting friends, learning stuffs, even had a chance to draw a policy for our country(only for practice of course).

Had a medical checkup in uni today.ermm.. Hope everything's alright.

Sakura

Due to the earthquake and tsunami, there was no spring festival in Japan last year. After 2 years, the Japanese ( and the Malaysians too) are out this spring season to enjoy the beautiful Sakura again.

Had a great day with old friends, meeting seniors and greeting new came juniors.

记得有一次得罪了一位，虽然过了几个月后找个机会向他道歉。
他也笑着说没关系，就以为自己被原谅了。

过了好多年，有一天突然听见朋友说原来那人仍然把当年的事放在心里。
意想不到，听了这件事后整个人很低落。

回不了头，现在只希望自己会从错中学习。
还有很重要的一点就是原谅人后真的不要再提了。
不然可能会让多一个人伤心。

Japanese efficiency

Today, I made a request to my university's library to get a new book, title 'Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea ', written about the lives people live in North Korea.

I sent out the request at 3pm, and 2 hours later at 5pm I received a mail on my phone from the library's head , saying that they will buy the book that I requested.

Not only the English version, he said that he will bring in the Japanese version of that book too, in less than 2 hours!

After 4 years living here, it is a country that still showing me things that I've never experienced , and it never fails to surprise me.

National service

I had a very sweet dream this morning. Me, a 23 year old guy has got a letter from the government to serve the country, in NS.

I was there once when I was 17, less than 3 months in Kerteh, Terengganu. In my dream I recalled how great was the time there, my jurulatih encik maznah and the evil , angel like kt(ketua jurulatih )

I was so excited in my dream that I would be able to experience the super fun , healthy, worry-free life again.

Some deep thinking popped out from no where, worrying if I could handle myself well among the 17 year old kids when I'm there. What about my classes and reports in Japan? What am I gonna do? But I wanna take part again so much!

Flying fox, monkey wrench, Running along the coast, freshest air in the world, keropok lekor every weekend , taking bath together with the freezing cold mountain water in super hot weather. 6 meals a day..

Its a dream too good to be true. I'm not complaining bout my life here, just that, how nice if I could take part in it again.

Sunday

A rainy Sunday. Raining season now in Japan, rain can fall non stop for more than 3 days. Remember one I have experienced sometime 1 or 2 years ago, where rain was falling for 1 whole week. No where to go unless I have a car, just too lazy to carry an umbrella to... where? No idea where to go. Didn't go to church today , using the rain and watching a heart breaking Champions League final as excuses. I'm sorry God , I know I'm bad ;(

The 8 days spent in Korea was a a different experience this time,thanks to couchsurfing.org . An awesome one, having fun with the locals, dining with Korean family and went onto a date with a cute Korean lady. Wow. I can say it was a 8 day well spent ;p .Never thought I would be so busy since coming home and had no time to talk about it . Events in uni and reports taken up most of my time.

Enjoy some coffee is this chilly- rainy-afternoon, I wish I had a coffee maker. Will just do with instant coffee now.

2 months entering university, many things have changed. The only thing that hasn't change is : I'm still in Japan. 4th year in this country, time to think about my future soon. Working here? Continue my studies here? Go home? Study or working in another country? So much to think, yet nothing is decided.

All the above are not bothering me actually, what I have in my mind is what am I going to do in this coming summer holiday. Something is planned xD

As for today ,I'm gonna be lazy until evening, listening to music, surfing the internet and read useless articles, then only start panicking on my reports. Yes I think this is the best way to spend your weekend. Since it is meant for you to rest, not doing work. Why are they giving us works to be done on weekends? What is the meaning of holiday? Ish..

I WANT SOME ESPRESSO!!

My life as a student has left just 2 years, less than 2 years. ( If I do not repeat a year or continue doing Masters program) . This left me thinking , am I ready to enter the working life? No doubt I am an adult now, becoming 23 this year. There's another road I can choose on continue studying, but the burning desire to gain knowledge is long lost within me now. The reason is : Just to avoid working life, enjoy student life which has nearly 3 months break every year.

Nothing is decided on the future yet. Hope God can guide me to my best. But one thing is for sure, I will not have the time in my last year as a university student to have fun or travel around because of research and thesis works. Therefore thoughts of going travel popped-up in my mind weeks ago, to travel around whenever I have the chances. Drying up my savings doesn't matter anymore cause I believe it can be earned back later. Traveling as a student at youth is totally different from traveling as an old man. Experiencing stay in hosts fromcouchsurfing.org at 0\ , is something I can do now but not when I'm 40 and above. ( Then I would like to stay in a luxury hotel when I travel ;p )

Therefore, the first place that I wanna go in this limited short break is a very very random plan, decided just weeks ago, my second visit to Korea. Nothing is planned, no idea on where to go and what to do, want to make it like an adventure. Found some nice enough people to let me sleep on their couches ( I do not even want to spend my money on cheap backpacker hostels! ) . Don't know what is ahead for me, as people say no plan is a plan!

I'm leaving tomorrow, everyone ( in Japan ) have a wonderful Golden Week holiday!!

Tremendous experience. Words are not good enough to describe them . Thank you to people in Japan! Wonderful country, wonderful people. I'm not gonna leave you, just yet. Not in your hard times now. I believe in you and your people ;)

And thank you to Malaysia who provide me the chance to study here. My family and friends who have been fully supportive, thank you.

I'm moving soon.. Anyone coming to visit me in Japan?

My country

I'm at a place 6 hours flight from my home,Malaysia. With the internet, technology, all kind of new programs and sites that everyone can use now as long as you have a computer and internet connection, I feel like Malaysia is not that far from me.

Sadly , we don't use the benefits of internet for good stuffs. In fact, people are spreading words, videos, notes that could only make the racism problem in my beloved country to get worse. It was Merdeka yesterday. I miss celebrating it with my friends back in Malaysia, thanks to the good time I had when I was in SMRM marching band in my high school days.At the same time, I saw at least 10 posts on Facebook in the span of 2 days , spreading the news of bad things that are happening in Malaysia. People see what someone's post, and they forward. As they forward it they too ask people around to forward them too.

What I do not understand is, is there a need to tell everyone around you about the bad things that are happening? By spreading them and posting them on your profile, you're making people to hate each other more. Why don't we spread love instead? Crimes, racial issues and fights, unfairness of a country's policy..etc. I'm 22 this year, and I don't have the memory of such chaos in my country before. I shall call this one of the biggest detriment of the internet.

Finally, I'm here to ask for all my fellow friends and Malaysians who read this : Please stop posting videos or notes that could make the racial issue in our country getting worse. I love all the funny and meaningful videos that you share.I could only feel sad , other than sad when I see those posts condemning other races online. Because I have many friends from other races and there are all my true, good friends.

I'm a day late, but Happy Merdeka to all Malaysians.
